Cook Islands' Unique Currency!

Next time someone tells you something is "as phony as a 3-dollar bill," tell them they obviously haven't been to the Cook Islands:

File:CookIslandsP7-3Dollars-(1992) f.jpgHere's a good excuse to visit a foreign (gorgeous) land. Where else but Cook Islands can you find a $3 bill and other unique denominations?! Their currency is tied to the New Zealand Dollar, and NZ Dollars are accepted there, but you'll get change in some very souvenir-worthy local currency. That's enough to make us want to visit!

And don't be too disappointed if your change is less than $3 - you may not get the cool bill, but you might get the even more unique $2 coin, one of the only triangular coins currently being used anywhere in the world!

You can learn more about this country's unique on Wikipedia: Cook Islands dollar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and more about the beautiful tropical islands here: http://www.cookislands.travel/usa
